![]() So, I created a neat little mode that should get the most out of my battery. I don’t care about all the bells and whistles of a phone while I’m out, I just need it to last all night in case something comes up or I need to ring a taxi last minute. These are scientific modes that genuinely save power by turning aspects of your device on or off, but what I really love is the ability to create your own modes. This new feature is an excellent addition to DU Battery Saver, but one of my favorites still remains the different power saving modes. When you save power with any of these modes, it’ll outline how much you’ll save. It also lets you know how long these apps have been running for and consequently how long they’ve been draining your battery. This Advanced Saving mode focuses on apps that are running in the background, and looks out for apps that might not seem like they’ve been consuming battery, but they have been. The two new features of this update can be found under the ‘Saver’ tab and are called “Advanced Saving” and “Notification Saving”.Īdvanced Saving needs a little setup, and needs to be enabled in the Accessibility settings of your device, but DU Battery Saver goes over how to do this nice and quickly. When you first get started, you’ll presented with an overview of how much longer your battery has left, and over time you’ll see statistics of what users battery the most. Just as before, you’ll need to download DU Battery Saver from the Play Store to try it out. ![]() Let’s take a close look at what this latest version of DU Battery Saver and Power Doctor has to offer, shall we? ![]() This not only helps save you battery life, but also helps you cut down on the noise as well. The new Notification Saving feature uses this new DU Aurora Engine to prevent apps consuming battery life by sending you notifications in the background. This version has been fully optimized for Android 5.0 Lollipop and the new DU Aurora Engine promises to save 60% more battery life than before by tackling apps that consume battery in the background. We’ve taken a look at DU Battery Saver before in the past, but it’s recently been updated with a couple of big new features, and of course some more polish.
